FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- Do I need any block printing experience? No. This Advent calendar is for everyone — total beginners, curious creatives, and experienced pattern lovers. Each spark can be answered through photos, doodles, simple marks, or block prints. You choose your medium.
- Do I need special materials? No. You can do the entire Advent using your phone, a pen or pencil, and a notebook or loose paper. If you want to block print, you can, of course, use your stamps or carve new ones - but it’s completely optional.
- How much time do I need each day? Most sparks can be done in 10 minutes. Some days you may do more, some days less. There is no daily requirement and no pressure to “keep up.”
- What if I can’t do it every day? No problem. This is not a checklist. You can skip days, come back later, or only do a few sparks. Every spark you do still adds to your Pattern Journal.
- How long will I have access to the 24 Days of Patterns? You will have ongoing access to the product for as long as we are maintaining it (a guaranteed minimum of 2 years!). If you are joining the pop-up community, access to the pop-up community will end January 31, 2026.
- How will I receive the 24 daily sparks? You’ll find all 24 sparks inside the private hub, neatly organised by day - including downloadable prompts and the videos. You’ll also get a daily reminder email, but the hub is your main place to follow along.
- Do I need to share my work? No. Sharing is optional. If you join the community add-on, you can share - but only if you want to.
- What is the optional community? The community is a small, private pop-up space where you can: share your sparks, see how others interpret the prompts, get feedback from us as well as other participants, and stay motivated through December. It’s completely optional and available as a $20 upgrade at checkout.
- Will this teach me repeat pattern design? Not directly.
This Advent calendar is not a technical course. It’s about noticing, collecting, and playing with patterns — the foundation that makes pattern design easier and more joyful later. (If you want to go deeper and learn how to bring your stamp designs and printed patterns to the next level, the Repeat Pattern Deep Dive opens in January.)
- What will I have at the end of the month? You’ll have your own Pattern Journal — a personal collection of: colors, shapes, motifs, photos. doodles, small prints, ideas you can return to anytime - inspiration for your future creative work.
